In Memoriam: John R Bartlett

I am a liberal heretic, Believing what I can; I’m not a spiky catholic, Nor yet a puritan.

I’m not a liege man of the Pope, His ring I cannot kiss: Some other churches offer hope; But few bring me much bliss. The fundamentalistic thought Requires Enlightenment (Perhaps in decency I ought To praise its high intent).
