THE SECOND SESSION was chaired by Canon Ginnie Kennerley, editor of SEARCH, who introduced the keynote speaker David Ford, Regius Professor of Divinity Emeritus of Cambridge University, as a Dublin- born Anglican theologian who had inspired a generation by pioneering Scriptural Reasoning - a process in which participants from different faith backgrounds meet together to compare their scriptures on agreed themes.

THANK YOU. It’s very good to be with you in Dublin, even “from a distance”. My lead question today is: How can we have healthily plural, peaceful and sustainable societies in our multi-religious and multi-secular world?
I think the document central to today’s Colloquium, “Serving a Wounded World in Interreligious Solidarity”, is superb - an excellent Christian contribution to a healthily plural world. As you know, it’s a Christian call to reflection and action, during Covid-19 and beyond, issued by the World Council of Churches and the Pontifical Council forInterreligious Dialogue,
