SOME OF the very real pleasures of my 10 years as Secretary General of the Anglican Communion were the many opportunities to share, for a few days, in regular church life with an Anglican diocese or parish.

SOME OF the very real pleasures of my 10 years as Secretary General of the Anglican Communion were the many opportunities to share, for a few days, in regular church life with an Anglican diocese or parish. From that rich and very varied experience I’m often asked which was my favourite place to visit. That’s a hard one, as there are many wonderful parts of the world, but if I alter the question slightly and ask which is the church I most admire, I have no hesitation in saying that it is the Anglican Church of Congo (L’Eglise Anglicane du Congo).
